Today’s session closed 222.50 point down, a 2.33% loss, with a final stand at 9,324.70 points.
Spain’s Ibex 35 has been on a losing spree lately with an accumulated loss of 7% last week alone and of 13.7% in November. The accumulated yearly loss in 2010 is at 21.9%.
All of Spain’s major stocks dropped in today’s session: BBVA lost 4.32%, Repsol 2.87%, Banco Santander 2.67%, Telefonica 2.21% and Iberdrola 0.55%.
Time will tell whether the Financial Times was on the money when it published an article describing Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero as “either very brave or very stupid“.
