Police Arrest ‘Moroccan’ Suspect in Connection With Barcelona Terror Attack Massacre


A Moroccan man is thought to have rented one of the vehicles used in the terror attack in Barcelona.

According to Spanish police, Driss Oukabir, rented the van in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, a small town outside of Barcelona.

The terror attack in Barcelona left 13 dead and over 30 injued after a van ploughed into tourist crowds along Les Rambles.

On Tuesday, Driss Oukabir uploaded a picture of himself relaxing on a beach, although the location is not immediately clear

According to OK Diario, a local paper in Barcelona, Oukabir, born in 1989 in Morroco, but from Marseille, France, according to a profile on Facebook, is one of the people associated with the attack in Barcelona.

According to TV3, a Spanish passport of a Moroccan person was found at the scene.

Various sources confirm, a second suspect has been arrested.
