
A van has ploughed into pedestrians on the famous Las Ramblas boulevard in Barcelona city center.

Two gunmen are believed to have also taken hostages at a restaurant in the tourist district.
Police confirm ‘two dead’ and ‘dozens injured’ after the incident.
According to local newspaper El Periodico the CIA had warned local police in Barcelona two months ago that the famous Las Ramblas boulevard could be the target of a terrorist attack.
Businesses on Passeig de Gràcia, close to Plaça Catalunya and along Les Rambles in Barcelona, are a ll closed to the public according to local paper La Vanguardia.
Official sources have yet to confirm if the incident is terrorist related.
