Richard Roberts from the UK was found guilty and sentenced to spend the next 18 years of his life in prison, to pay for a murder of another Briton, which occurred while on holiday in the Spanish island of Majorca.

Roberts stabbed Daniel Hastelow back in January 2008, and saw the conclusion of his trial last week, in a public case that was followed by many expat’s in Palma.

Outside of the prison time, Roberts will also need to pay 90,000 Euros to the family of his victim as, well as for legal costs.

The family of Hastlelow were excited to hear the verdict, as well as pleased that the case is finally closed, since they have been petitioning for the return of his body since the murder occurred.
