Marbella has legalized two developments which had been built illegaly during the GIL epoch.
A total of 225 homes were legalized under the new PGOU plan. In exchange, developers had agreed to give part of the land to the government and paid 1.3 million euros in compensation.
The developments which were legalized are Santa Maria Green Hills in Elviria and el Palmeral in Nueva Andalucia.
These are the first developers to take measures to legalize the units built that did not conform to General Plan of 1986.
Up to 1000 dwellings are expected to be legalized in Marbella by the end of the year.
