Jose Maria AznarThe company of former Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar has been able to dodge the crisis. Famaztella ended the 2009 fiscal year with a record profit of 445,417 euros, according to annual accounts deposited in the registry.

The latest profits represent an 8% increase over the previous year’s figures, which was also the worst year of the economic crisis plaguing.

The company is responsible for the “exploitation of intellectual property rights in all its forms”, such as the copyright of all their books and lectures.

The company was founded on May 10, 2004 with just 3,000 euros capital. Company earnings rose year after year accumulating a wealth of 1.6 million euros after five and a half years.

Since 2006, the former Prime Minister is also a director of News Corporation, the conglomerate controlled by the media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.

In the year ended June 30, 2010 Aznar earned $220,000 (160,000 euros) for that concept, of which $100,000 was in cash and $120,000 in shares. Financial documents also show that most of Aznar’s company’s assets are in US dollars.
