A header from Carles Puyol in the 73rd minute led Spain to victory against the Germans, bringing the Spanish team up against Holland on Sunday’s final game.

The 0-1 win over Germany on Wednesday night was a well deserved win for the Spanish team with great lenghts of the game having been under their total control. Germany made several attempts at the goal but generally played without any force.

Vicente del Bosque added that: “We will try to keep our eyes wide open and not be blinded by success,” he said after Wednesday’s 1-0 semifinal win over Germany. “I can only say what it means to be in the final. Spain certainly deserves to be on top.”

The Spanish team will play Holland on Sunday at the World cup 2010 final and both teams bring high hopes to the table expecting to win and take home the trophy.
