Andrés Iniesta Luján – the famous Spanish football midfielder said on Wednesday that instead of worrying about how Chile will be playing in World Cup Group H, the Spanish team needs to focus on what they do best.
Recently, Chile topped the group through two wins from their two matches, while Spain is still strung up in a struggle to survive with 3 points. This situation is quite similar to their defeat against Swiss team that left a shocking impression on Spanish footballers through 1-0 score in the opening match.
Luján made it to the forefront in 2008, when the Spanish team beat Germany in the European final. It went all the way to Barcelona’s winning season in 2008 – 2009 that ended up with the Champions League Trophy. Luján said that Spain is supposed to play a natural game, while maintaining it’s cool and calm.
“We’re supposed to play in a manner that is realistic and fast up front, so that everyone can deploy his weapons and our biggest weapon lies in controlling the ball, while simultaneously blocking the Chileans from expressing themselves” – said Luján.
Luján also suffered an injury to his right thigh, during the Swiss defeat but he is considering himself fit for playing. “Yesterday, I had a good training session which made me feel good and I think everything is going according to the plan” – he said.
