A 34 year-old woman which suffered various pathologies died yesterday in the hospital Costa del Sol de Marbella, after the swine flu virus complicated her conditions.
This is the sixth victim to die of the swine flu virus in the Malaga province raising the total number of deaths in the whole of Spain from the swine flu virus to nearly 80.
The estimated infection rate in the province of Malaga lies at around 91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, one of the lowest figures in Andalucia.
Sources from the Delegation of Health indicated that in 98% of patients with swine flu , also known as the influenza A/H1N1 virus, the symptoms are mild and they cure in a matter of days. They added that mortality rate was 0.01%.
