This weekend saw the Murcia region crackdown on illegal immigration networks, 88 Algerian immigrants were removed from 6 boats as they hit the beaches along the regions coastline.

This was followed quickly by a police operation that picked up the boat’s crews and others associated with the importation of African nationals.

The operation was overseen by 25 volunteers from Red Cross, who stated that they had examined the people from the boats, and there were no serious health issues found.

A few days ago, the government delegate in the Region, Rafael Gonzalez Tovar, warned that it was facing a “new wave” of boats on the coast of Murcia.
