Welshman, David Hayes, 29, reportedly has died from swine flu, after contracting the disease while on holiday in Catalonia in Spain.
Hayes is originally from Lysfaen, Colwyn Bay, where his body was flown home after he died at the Reus hospital on October 7th, but the cause of his death has only just been revealed.
The family of Hayes said that he was loved ‘by all’ and that he was an advocate for those with learning disabilities after being born with Down’s syndrome.
Hayes was on holiday near Salou in Cambrils with his parents, his sister, and his sister’s partner.
His sister stated that he fell ill after two days on holiday. And that although he was given antibiotics, he was not able to recover forcing admittance to the hospital up to his death.
