Leonard Cohen is recovering today after he collapsed on stage at a concert in Valencia. According to reports he has been discharged from the hospital and diagnosed as suffering from food poisoning.

Cohen is 74 and currently on tour throughout Spain with his final show in Barcelona Monday scheduled to go on as planned according to organizers of the concert.

When he collapsed in Valencia, he was singing Bird on the Wire at which point he fell as if he fainted prompting the band to rush to his aid and the concert to be over. Cohen was seen by medical staff at the stadium first and then taken to the hospital by ambulance as a precaution. Early Saturday he was given the all clear to leave.

Crowd members were told by one of the band members, that Cohen had suffered vomiting fits and stomach cramps.

This is Cohen’s first tour in Spain after a long break and after the Barcelona show he will head to Florida, US.
