An expat from Scotland living on the Costa del Sol has been caught speeding at 271 km/h in his brand new Ferrari California. Alan Heron was caught by a radar trap as he tested out his sports car.

The businessman was fined 3,600 euros and has had his driver’s license revoked for 10 months after appearing in court. A spokesperson for the Guardia Civil said that it may be the highest speed recorded in Spain, calling it “utter madness”.
