On Sunday the Spanish Ministry of Health has increased the number of confirmed cases of swine flu in Spain to 44, with Catalonia leading the list with 14 cases of swine flu, after Andalucia, with 11.
Apart from the 44 confirmed cases, Spain has 83 patients currently under investigation for the disease.
Out of the 44 cases of swine flu in Spain, all expcept for 4 had recently returned from Mexico, according to the ministry.
Spain is currently the worst affected country in Europe. Cases around the world have nearly reached 800 – the majority in Mexico, U.S. and Canada.
