An interesting article on FoxNews about a Solar Power installation on a graveyard in the Spanish town of Santa Coloma de Gramanet, “a gritty, working-class town outside Barcelona”.

According to the article, the graveyard has installed 462 panels which are producing enough electricity to power the yearly use of 60 homes. The project appears to not only be save for the environment but also empathetic towards the deceased: “The cemetery holds the remains of about 57,000 people and the solar panels cover less than 5 percent of the total surface area. They cost $900,000 to install and each year will keep about 62 tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere…”
