The long awaited Facebook ‘dislike’ button has not yet been implemented, but the social media giant has instead introduced a new ‘reactions’ option.
Facebook users in Spain and Ireland are among the first in the world that get to express a range of emtions.
Whether its a heart, an angry face or a smiley with the eyes closed, Facebook users can now do more than just ‘like’ something.
The new feature is officially called ‘reactions’ and comes as Facebook aims to provide new features that work across the world.
Facebook product manager Chris Cox said in an announcement Thursday “as you can see, it’s not a ‘dislike’ button, though we hope it addresses the spirit of this request more broadly”.
The new feature is currently only available to Facebook users in Spain and Ireland.
