Barcelona port has registered 1.7 million passengers between January and July this year, of which 1.1 million were cruise passengers and the rest regular ferry passengers, which travel to and from the Balearic Islands of Mallorca, Ibiza and Menora as well as parts of Italy and North Africa.
Cruis passengers have increased by 11 per cent, while regular passengers have seen an increase of 4% as reported by the Port Authority of Barcelona in a statement.
