Spanish football team AC Milan lost 2-3 to Manchester United in a hard fought game at home on Tuesday. This leaves them with the task of beating Manchester United at home in the away leg which is a few weeks away, to stay in the Champions League.

Playing in front of the home crowd at the San Siro, the team from Spain was up in front early in the match when Ronaldinho volleyed in a Beckham cross with a deflection off Carrick to make it 1-0. Paul Scholes leveled the score for Manchester United ten minutes before the interval.

But it was Wayne Rooney who took charge in the second half as he scored twice by headers to take Manchester United two goals ahead making the score line 3-1 75 minutes into the game. Clarence Seedorf made it 2-3 later on in the game and Milan put the Red Devils under tremendous pressure as they pressed for the equalizer. But Manchester United was able to sustain the pressure and thwart Milan’s attempt to level the scores.

Milan now not only has to beat United at Old Trafford, but beat them by a margin of two goals to nullify the three away-goal advantage that United has.
