The world famous Spanish chef, Ferràn Adrià says he will be closing his restaurant El Bulli for two years in order to dedicate time to generate new ideas for his “molecular cuisine”.

Ferran Adria to close El Bulli RestaurantThe El Bulli restaurant in Girona, north of Barcelona has been awarded with three Michelin stars and was voted the best restaurant in the world last year for the fourth time in a row by the UK magazine “Restaurant”.

The Michelin star restaurant will close in 2012 and 2013 allowing the chef to find time for himself and his family and in order to cook up what’s next for the future of cooking.

Adria recently made headlines as he announced plans to open the world’s first Gastronomic University in Spain.
