As the strike action by the Iberia cabin crew completed two days, the CTA and Sitcpla unions have decided in favor of going on strike for eight more days dispersed over this month and December. Services in December will be hit more badly as seven of the eight proposed days of strike are in December.

It has been decided that flights will not be cancelled during the Puente de la Inmaculada bank holiday weekend (December 5 to December 8) but will not fly on November 30, and seven days in the next month which are December 1,2,14,15,16,17 and 18. The unions have said that the purpose behind these strikes is to bring the management under pressure instead of affecting passengers.

About 800 flights had been cancelled and more than 80,000 passengers were affected during the last four days of strike.
