An earthquake was felt in various parts of Málaga and Granada provinces on Thursday morning, according to reports coming in today.

The tremors were felt around 6. 40 a.m. and the epicenter for the quake was found to lie in Ventas de Huelma in the Granada province.

The earthquake registered a reading of 3.7 on the Richter Scale according to the National Geographic Institute, whereas the Andalucía Geophysics Institute measured the reading as 4.2.

The earthquake is considered to have taken place about 10 kilometers below the surface of the earth and no injuries and damages were reported.

The quake was felt even in Vélez Málaga in Axarquía and was the second earthquake in the same week in Andalucía.
