Sevilla became the first Spanish team to move into the last 16 in the Champions League after a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart. Jesús Navas put the Spanish side ahead in the 13th minute, much to the delight of Manolo Jiménez, the team’s coach. Even though Stuttgart managed to equalize and secure a draw, Sevilla are through even if they do not top their group.

Barcelona, on the other hand, failed to score against Rubin Kazan in Russia and the goalless draw leaves Barça needing to win both of its remaining games. Zlatan Ibrahamovic hit the post in the game’s first minute and Barcelona was the better side throughout the match. But their failure to score leaves them the task of winning both of their next two games.

They need to win against Inter at home and beat Dinamo in Ukraine to qualify for the last 16.
