The Catalan Football Federation has announced that the great Johan Cruyff is to return to football as the new coach of the Catalonia team.
As one of the most renowned football technicians in the history of the game, he is heading back to the bench at age 62, after more than a dozen years away from the game.
Cruyff’s debut does not have a definite date, but could occur on 22 December. As that is the day for the annual local derby match.
Apparently the job is somewhat casual, and the football legend will not be charging for his services. There will however, be some kind of arrangement with his charity, the Cruyff Foundation.
