Barcelona police, national police, and the Guardia Urbana have carried out raids on Chinese hair salons, barber shops and massage parlours in the Eixample district of Barcelona

They arrested 47 people in all, 17 foreigners are to be deported because they do not have the necessary immigration documents, the others, including 4 Spanish nationals arrested in the raids code-named “Operation Permanent 2″ will be charged with “crime’s against the rights of workers”.

Only one of the raided premises was offering sexual services known euphemistically as “happy ending” services.

This is the second police operation against barber shops and massage parlours predominantly owned by Chinese people in Barcelona, February 11 saw the original “Operation Permanent”.
