The Spanish Minister of Health announced that the H1N1 vaccine is now available in hospital pharmacies across the country.

The Minister stated that the hospital pharmacies will be the only locations that stock the antiviral drugs, to avoid misuse of the vaccine down the line, should a sudden alarm about the influenza strand break out in the country, which could cause irrational use of the vaccine.

In the future, if there does not seem to be any problems, local pharmacies may also be able to administer the use of the vaccine.

Dates for the administration of the H1N1 vaccine will be announced after the seasonal flu season ends near the beginning of November.
