Rafael Nadal is scheduled to reappear after a two week break at the China open, fresh out of recovery from an injury.

Nadal is ranked second in the world, although he has been forced to sit out the last several important matches, including the US Open after an injury and the Davis Cup, Thailand round, because of problems with his abdomen.

In a statement on Nadal’s website, he says that his appearance in Beijing is confirmed, as well as the fact that after several intense exams it has been decided that he is fit enough to begin to compete again.

The statement also said that Nadal will compete at the Paris Masters and the Shanghai Masters as well as in the Davis Cup final, when Spain comes up against the Czech Republic.
