In a scene from a “falling nightmare”, a 45 year old woman leapt to her death from an eighth floor window after failing to head advice to back away from the edge.
The worst part however came when she landed on a pedestrian who was strolling down the street with his wife. Although she died instantly upon hitting the victim the man survived until he reached the hospital when his injuries proved to be fatal.
The man’s wife was not harmed as she was able to step away fast enough to only sustain minor injuries.
The pedestrian was reported by the media to be of Ukrainian origin, but a spokesman for the police described the victim as a national of Spain who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
The fatal jump took place in a Barcelona suburb, the town of Viladecans.
