One half of the sexiest couple in Hollywood, Brad Pitt has been spending a little time in the not so glamorous Northern Spanish city of Aviles. He was there to view a new construction in the old port of the city which he believes could assist him in his position in helping to rebuild New Orleans which, even now is still decimated by the effects of Hurricane Katrina.
The star of numerous huge hits including “Seven” and “Meet Joe Black” was accompanied on his architectural tour of the city by local major Pilar Varela and a group of local professional architects.
Pitt is said to be interested in offering his support to the Oscar Niemyer Cultural Centre in Aviles once it is completed and also its architectural features which he believes could be transferred to New Orleans re-building efforts and relates to his own “Make It Right Project” in New Orleans.
The new building growing on the site of the once thriving port area is set to open next year, and local officials are hopeful that it will be a big draw for people considering visiting the city, an aim that can only be helped by a high profile Brad appearance.
