The 37th annual celebration of Bavarian Week is scheduled to commence on August 26th and continue through September 9th in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife.

Bavarian Week is the oldest celebration that caters to tourists in the Canaries. Throughout the week, the Die Lustigen Egerlander orchestra will perform daily in various areas of the town.

Starting at 19h on Sept. 5th, one of the highlights of the week, the Great Beer Festival will begin in Plaza Europa. Entrance to the Beer Festival will be ten euros which includes food, drink, and gift participation.

Bavarian Week was first celebrated in 1976 after the CIT initially invited the Bavarian orchestra to play concerts in Puerto de la Cruz. After the performance the event was repeated two years later and continues to be celebrated up until today.

For more information on lodging and Bavarian Week interested parties are invited to call the CIT at telephone number 922 388 777.
