The Supreme Court of Justice of Andalucia has ordered the demolition of the Barceló Hotel in Marbella, which is located in the Guadalmina urbanization. The sentence also condones the government and the developer Fadesa, which constructed the hotel, to pay the court costs.

Barceló Hotel MarbellaThe sentence demands the demolition of the hotel as well as 80 properties in the urbanization, giving justice to the Assocation for the defense of Guadalmina, which is made up of the majority of neighbours from the area.

The hotel has 2 months to comply with the sentence.

Despite the court sentence, the recently approved provisional PGOU plan, legalized these constructions, making the demolition order illogical.
