During the month of March, a total of 34,895 properties were sold in Spain, according to the latest figures from the National Statistics Institute. The figures from March showed a mild increase of 0.7% compared to February, but an overall 24.3% decrease compared to the same month a year earlier and a 34.2% decrease in the first quarter this year, compared to last year’s.

According to the latest figures from the National Statistics Institute, the decrease was bigger with second hand homes, which registered a first quarter drop over last year’s of 43.2%, with new build dropping 24.6%.
