Spain’s Ministry of Industry has fined Endesa 15.4 million euros, for committing four infractions relating to the leakage of radioactive particles in its nuclear power plant Ascó I (Tarragona) in November 2007.

The 15,390,000 euros fine is the highest fine ever imposed on a Spanish nuclear power plant (the second highest registered at 1.6 million euros, which was imposed on Vandellos II in 2006).
