Broken Embraces, the new movie from Pedro Almodóvar which was shot on Lanzarote enjoyed a special launch screening on the island this week. 

The film, starring Penelope Cruz, was filmed on the island last year and includes notable landmarks such as the landscapes around El Golfo and the wind toy ‘Fobos’ which adorns the roundabout by the César Manrique Foundation.

The screening at the Jameos del Agua was attended by the President of the Cabildo, Manuela Armas, the Minister for Tourism in the Canary Islands, Rita Martin and various other local dignitaries.
